Executive coaching has become an important part of executive development. Here are some interesting statistics.
In 2004, a Drake Beam Moran study that showed that 66% of human resource professionals surveyed had implemented an executive coaching program in their organizations.
That same year, a study by Right Management Consultants, showed that 86% of companies surveyed said that they "used executive coaching to sharpen the skills of individuals" who have been identified as future organizational leaders.
A 2006 Right study showed that 41% of respondents identified insufficient coaching, mentoring and training of high potential employees as the main reason for manager and executive failure.
It's clear executive coaching is not for fixing problem performers. Its main use is in helping high performers perform even better. |
