I am an expert in personal, career and leadership development. I coach senior executives and high potential leaders. Typically, I work with three types of coaching clients:
On rare occasion, I am asked to help turn around the performance of a valuable employee who is experiencing difficulties in his or her present job.
I help my clients get things done because:
I ask thought provoking questions.
I provide clear, unbiased feedback.
I challenge my clients' assumptions.
I provide insight, guidance and advice.
I help clients make decisions, evaluate arguments, and weigh alternatives.
I help clients plan their career path, and create plans for achieving it.
I tell stories that help my clients get the benefit of my experience without having to experience firsthand the problems that often accompany learning through experience.
I play several roles with my coaching clients:
1. I'm a partner. I listen to my clients and challenge their assumptions and thinking. 2. I'm a trusted advisor. I listen to my clients and act as a confidant.
3. I'm an objective outsider. I help people see things from a different perspective than is common in their company. |
